INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Print the pattern onto the three paper sheets of your choice. Both sides of the paper will be visible in this project.

Read the pattern key included in the General Instructions.

Step 2

Cut out the twenty-five parts by cutting on all black lines. There are five small parts, ten medium parts, and ten large parts.

STEP 3

Connect the five small parts together in a line by gluing each Patch A to overlap with the Patch A of its neighbors (Photo 3). Bend the line of parts into a ring and glue Patch A on the first part to Patch A on the fifth part (Photo 4).

Step 4

Add ten medium parts to the project. Connect each medium part to the project by gluing Patch D on the new part to overlap with a Patch D on the ring built in Step 3. Note that there are five Patch D’s on each side of the ring. Then glue medium parts to each other by gluing Patch B’s to overlap. Project will now have the shape of a tube that is slightly larger at each end.

Step 5

Add the ten large parts to the project. Connect each large part to the project by gluing Patch E on the new part to overlap with a Patch E on the tube built in Step 4. Add five large parts on each end of the tube. Then glue large parts to each other by gluing Patch C’s to overlap.
