INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Print the Omega Nebula pattern onto three matching paper sheets of your choice. A stiffer paper, like cardstock, is best for this project.
Read the pattern key included in the General Instructions.
Step 2
Cut out the fourteen parts by cutting on the black lines. On the Part 2’s, poke a hole in the center circle to start the cut out of these circles.

STEP 3
To one of the Part 1’s, add a Part 2 at each of the three glue patches labelled with a “2”; and add a Part 1 at each of the three glue patches labelled with a “1”. Overlap the patches at each attaching arm and fix with glue.

Step 4
In two locations on each Part 2, attach arm to the adjacent Part 1 arm labelled with a “2”. Again attach by gluing patches to overlap. Project should now have a bowl form.

Step 5
Attach a new Part 1 to each of the three Part 2’s with one of the Part 1 arms labelled “2”. Also attach each of these newly added Part 1’s to the Part 1 on each side of the Part 2, using arms labelled “1”.

Step 6
Attach a new Part 2 in each of the three gaps by overlap gluing three arms of each Part 2 with three Part 1 arms labelled with a “2”. Lastly attach the final Part 1 in the remaining gap using the six available arms and glue patches.

This Omega Nebula is in the form of a snub cube, where each triangular face is a 3-armed swirl and each square face is a circular swirl.
