INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Print the Sphericon Spaceport pattern onto the three paper sheets of your choice. Sheets 1 and 2 will become the spaceport lounges; sheet 3 will become the space craft hangars.

Read the pattern key included in the General Instructions.

General Instructions

Step 2

Cut out the twenty parts by cutting on all black lines.

STEP 3

On all twenty parts, fold the green lines as valley folds.

Step 4

Make the Sphericon Spaceport lounges. Connect the sixteen triangular parts into eight pairs by gluing the four short glue flaps on one part to the four short glue flaps on another part.

Step 5

Make the eight pairs in Step 4 into four sphericons by putting two paired parts back-to-back so that a double pyramid is formed, then rotate one pair 90 degrees, and then glue the four long glue flaps on one pair to the four long glue flaps on the other pair.

Step 6

Make the four spacecraft hangars. On each of the remaining four parts, glue two Flap A’s to two Patch A’s; and then glue two Flap B’s to two Patch B’s.

Step 7

Complete the Sphericon Spaceport by gluing a side face of each hangar to a triangle face on a sphericon, so that the four sphericons are arranged in a square connected by hangars.
